i looked for the ice method ealier and saw conflicting comments - you might call a bodyshop you trust to ask. I saw some sites saying you put a piece directly on the dent briefly and it will pop out; another site said it could conceivably damage the paint as it is -190*. Ask Crumm if that temp has ever hurt his paint. :roflmao

how does dry ice work?
place it on the divit and let it cool down, till it contracts enough to pop? if so that could be a real Cheap fix???
not may yet but vacation starts this friday :D :D :D :D

You do know if you f*** it up - your screwed. Cost more money then. I'd call one of those "paintless repair" guys and let them go at it. Lot cheaper than if you over do it and make it worse. See if your insurance covers it. Mine does.

I was driving home from Tahoe in early March, along highway 50, in the right lane... all of the sudden heard a LOUD bang/slam/knock on the roof above the passenger seat. Figured a chunk of ice or a big rock or something had to have hit it... probably fell off one of the trees (they were all covered in snow and such). Sure enough... there's a nice sharp dent right on the edge where the wannabe rain gutter is, and a couple smaller ones behind it. No way to fix this dent with any dent popper, though.:( I should take a pic and add it to my webshots.
