I'd like to update my 99 grille to a 05 and up. So can i just buy an 05 grille and it will bolt right in? Or do i need to change some other things?

There is more to putting in the 05 grill. I am not sure what all needs to be changed. Some one here knows and will chime in.

Id also like to update the headlights too. I like the harley lights. My truck is white and i dont want any chrome on it. I'd either paint the grille white or black. Or black chrome wouldnt be bad either.
To update the headlights and grille to an 05 one u will need to change the bumper and headlight mounting panel. However they do now make a 05 grille that is cut at the bottom so it will work with the older style bumper i don't have the link for it but i'm sure someone on here will chime in shortly with it. Also u can put the newer lights in the old mounting panel but it does require cutting if i remember correctly.

So i could just cut it all myself and make it work? Eventually I want a big heavy duty bumper or something along those lines.
U could but in that case i would just wait and buy a bumper that will accommodate the newer grille that way ur not cutting a good grille up.When u cut the bottom of the grille i would imagine that the chrome is going to lift and peel where the cut is made.

I'd much rather have a black grille like off of the xl trucks or somethin. Im goin for the black and white theme. Or I would just paint the grille white.
