Hello all from snowy Ontario, Canada. I just bought a low mileage used 2006 F350 Super Duty dually - crew cab with long box (boy - is this sucker HUGE!!!). At about 72,000 kms. on the clock (around 46K miles) so it's barely broken in. This baby replaces my 1995 GMC Sierra 6.5 Turbo Diesel dually which was getting a bit tired, prior to that a Ford F150 V6 XLS which my son now has and before that a 1985 Chevy Beaumont 6.2 ltr. diesel pasenger van. I just love the diesels and also currently have a couple of other toys - a Case 580K backhoe for playing in the sandbox and a Kubota 28 HP 3 cyl. diesel F2880 landscaping mower with snowblower attachment.

The new addition will see duty around the "hobby" farm pulling a two horse trailer (my wife is a horse "Diva") and I have a couple of car trailers (one open deck, the other a 24' enclosed) for hauling an assortment of circuit racing cars around that my sons and I play with (Datsun 510, Nissan 180SX, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R).

As you can see, I've had some history with diesels but this is my first "SuperDuty" so I want to come up to speed with any of the particular quirks of this powertrain (maintenance issues, common failure items, etc.). I have read of some horror stories with the early 6.0 ltr. Navistar motors but not much on the last run '06's. Have all of the bugs been worked out or is there some nasty stuff I need to know about yet??

One of the toys. This little baby is a real workhouse. The front mount makes it easy to interchange between the snow blower (51"), mower deck (60") and other attachments such as a blade. I love the hydraulically actuated chute (turn and tilt) on the blower. Sure getting a good workout this winter around here.

Here's one of the other "toys".

It puts down about 285HP at the rear wheels and weighs about 2200 lbs. Some of you may have seen the event I competed in with this car in 2005 & 2006 called the Targa Newfoundland Rally on Speed Channel. It was also in a Steelback Beer commercial which aired in Canada during NHL hockey games this winter.
