Great Quail Hunt..........

Got back from quail hunting last night.............What a blast !!!

Hunt got cut short cause one of my hunting buddies had to go to a funeral but from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday morning we bagged 85 birds. Should have had LOTS more but..........ahum........ some of us can't hit squat. :roll:

Notice the difference one year makes. Last year we were axle deep in mud and everything was green.

that is a big shift.
I have seen teh fires on the news last couple days out there.
its bone dry here but thankfully no fires. this red clay dries out real quick

In the short 48hrs we were out there we saw lots of white tail and mule deer. Also, bobcat, a rare black coyote, owls, hawks, badger, ducks..............TONS of dove.
