the factory speedo's are "GENEROUS" at best....depending on
my acutal speed i can be anywhere from 3 to 5 mph off at a minimum.

the GPS will be more accurate.

With the factory 265 tires, the speedo was about 2 mph more than what the roadside radar said. When I went to 285 tires, the speedo was dead-on to what the same radar unit says, but now the odometer reads about 2% to 3% less than actual mileage based on measured miles or GPS.

you should find that it varies by speed...it might be spot on @ 55 but
at 80 itll be off several mph.

Robert can tell em that next time...

"Uh sir, when's the last time you had that thing calibrated ?" :D

You can actually ask to the see a certificate of calibration, and if its not up to date, you can beat the ticket by a technicality.

They showed it on some TV show once.
