Here ya go big guy.

Simple. Rigged up a 5mm LED in the dash. Hooks to the GPR and lets me know that the GPR is REALLY working. Saves you the trouble of "guesstimating " whats wrong. No LED means no GPR worky.

read more here. GPR LED mod payed off big time. - GPR LED mod payed off big time. - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

For $5 and 10 minutes of your time, I thought, what could it hurt?

fixed the link

 Quick question for you guys, the glow plug relay mod is for a led right? According to my Ford wiring diagram the wait to start light is supplied current on the same circuit that you tap into with an led light, so why do it? Seems like a waste of time and money. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The LED only lights if the GPR is supplying power to the glow plugs. IE no LED means the relay isnt working. If you do it you will see what they mean. My LED stays on way after the wait to start light goes out.

"The WTS light on the instrument panel, and the ground output from the PCM to activate the GPR are completely unrelated timers.

One does not have any bearing on the other.

Ford had a better idea, and it was to "fool" the user.

Just like many of the gauges in these trucks, like oil and water... They tell you what Ford wants them to tell you.
