Question GPCM , short cycle

Hi , all , my 05 , 6L , has started short cycling the glow plugs ?only about 3 seconds , so does this mean the GPCM is bad ? I know it is controled by the PCM , so should it cycle based on engine temp ? thanks guys

It probably means you have one or more glow plugs that are not working. You can use an ohm meter to see if any glow plugs are open (they are bad).
