I'm hooked up to a USGS site that tracts and reports earthquakes around the world.. 2.0 or better.

There are More earthquakes per day in Oklahoma.. than there are in California these days. Has been for quite some time now !! Seems to be a Swarm of'm, right around Okie City.

FRACKING.. I'm think'n ?

Hydraulic Fracturing began in 1949 and has been performed around the world. It is done mostly between 5,000 and 20,000 feet below the surface. Earthquakes happen 50 to over 300 miles below the surface, much deeper than any frac job ever.
Oklahoma has more active faults than most states and they are starting to wake up. The Wichita Mountains in SW Oklahoma are the oldest mountains in the U.S. formed over 300m years ago.

Yesterday.. No EQ's in California.. 3 in Oklahoma.

Chili takes Hit once a week ! The Orient too.

I think there's something to that Fracking.. SoCal, down around El Centro has a EQ Swarm area.. They Frack down there Big Time.

For a different prospective........

In the unlikely event that produced water injection is the cause of those quakes in Oklahoma the petroleum industry needs to charge the State/US government for relieving stress on the fault lines before it can build into big earth quakes. That service shouldn't be done for free. :)

My wife has an app on her phone that notifies her of earthquakes, but they're always in some Asian country. She's been getting so many updates she's about to turn off the notifications and she's never seen any mention of any quakes in the US.
