Howdy guy's, well I got a couple questions maybe yall can help me out with. I have a 04 6.0 PSD, I believe I have an EGR valve prob but got a new one that popped up. When I get on the fuel pedal occasionally I will smell coolant in the cab. : eek: I drive normal get on in now and then nothing major, I have 56k miles on her, and going to get her to the shop soon but some ford techs like to bull chit you if they smell a diesel rookie and there is a warranty issue.

And one more Q does ford warranty their engines for 4 yr 100k, and if they do does it transfer to second hand owner? I ask because the ford guy I asked said yes but again not always truthful with warranty. I had bought an extended with the truck (warranty) from the Chevy dealer I got her from.

I do have a chip but never put it above the lowest setting it is an edge juice with display no attitude. And a banks 4” turbo backs with cat exhaust. Not loosing any coolant if I am its negligible.

P.S forgot to add I got a new cap on coolant bottle and a couple of weeks I had a little coolant hit the driveway. I fear the worst!!!!!!

Take the programmer out before you take her in for warranty work. Ford will deny all warranty claims if you have a programmer. The 100K mile warranty is for smog stuff and other ralated stuff, like fuel injection. You are gold with the Cat.

also did your get teh recall here a few months ago about teh degas bottle and the new LOWER level? you may nt get recall inf as your the second owner, ask your dealer to pull it up in oasis when she goes in and they can see if it was done. the lowered level helps keep coolant from "overboarding" from teh degas bottle

Have a shop do a pressure check...could be the heater core. Mine went at 63k, out of the blue.

You may want to drop that overflow level a little, also. I took about an inch and a half out of mine early on when I bought my truck, never bubbled over again.
