In a van down by the river...
Since my old 19" CRT was on it's last legs (focus kept going out), I went down to the BestBuy in Fort Collins today and picked up one of THESE . They had it as part of an open-box sale and the story the salesguy gave me was that the previous customer bought it and returned it later the same day since his wife got royally P.O.'ed at how much it cost. Since it was returned, I got it for a VERY significant discount and it works perfectly (zero dead pixels) with the full factory warranty. It was a little more than I was willing to spend, but once I saw the monitor running, my credit card practically lept out of my wallet on its own accord. I have to go out tonight and pick up a DVI cable, but even on analog it looks awesome so running on digital has got to be out of this world. :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

Oh...My...Lord...

The DVI-D cable makes a huuuuuuge difference. Now, the screen (at 1600x1050 resolution) is sharp from edge-to-edge and the color seems more vivid. :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

The open box is the one time I buy their silly warranty. I bought a pair of speakers once (I think they were about $250 for $400 speakers as well) and I paid ~$35 for a 10 year warranty. Don't know why the warranty was so cheap then but it was one of the better buys I have made.
