Good selection on the laptop, just don't use it while driving as I see people in San Diego doing all the time.... I use those little eyeglass cleaners in the packets that Costco sells in a big bos and use them on my home monitor also. There is a little bit of cleaner, just enough to wet and loosen any finger prints and food particles but not run down inside.

Haven't found anything yet that does free fax on vista, of course I haven't looked all that hard either. If you're running Vista Business or Ultimate (most likely not), you should have faxing software built in. Try clicking the windows icon and typing fax...or just clicking "all programs" and see if you get a scan and fax center option.

Otherwise, I found a free demo you can check out ($30 to register) at Fax Software and Network Fax Server Software which gets pretty good reviews but I've never used. You could also try efax, since you're always online with your aircard anyway.

For the next step up in mapquest, you can actually run google earth on your laptop and tie it into a GPS (Cool Tool: GPS & Google Earth Solution has an example. Then you have real-time location information as well...plus you can map/track where you've been.

As for cleaning the screen, I usually use a microfiber cleaning cloth. My sunglasses came with one, as did one of my dell monitors. Should be able to find them at best buy (for a significant markup, no doubt) or perhaps even at Wal-Mart/Target. I'd avoid using much, if any, liquid cleaner - doesn't mix too well with electronics.

I use Endust for electronics. Its anti-static cleaning and dusting in a spray can. Works on TV and computer screens.

Don't use Windex or any thing like it. The chemicals (ammonia) will discolor the display.

Don't use endust or any of that stuff. Most computer stores sell screen cleaner. Laptop screens are LCD screens, so also anything sold at tv stores to clean LCD screens is also good. Get a microfiber cloth, and when you wash it dont use anything but detergent (no softener etc).
