Going to Pittsburgh from Alabama - what to add to fuel?

I'll fill up here in Huntsville and probably won't get any more fuel until I get back, ~ 1400 miles +/-. I have a 90 gallon RDS aux tank plus the OEM 38 gallon tank.

What should I add to the fuel so it won't gel in the (possibly) colder temps in Pittsburgh?

Depends on when you are driving up to Pa, but here in MI the temps are 42 and staying. Your fuel shouldn't gel in these temps.

Could get in the low 20's by the time I get there later next week. Plus, my parents live on the east side and they said it gets a little colder than the downtown area.

We had it in the high teens here a couple weeks ago, no problems, didn't even think about it even. Does Alabama diesel even get the anti-gel stuff?

I'm just north of the city, it's not gonna be that big a deal. Heck, it's like 50 out there now... oh joy, green Christmas! I haven't had a problem with it gelling even when it was below zero when I took it out skiing.

All out diesel truck never have anti gel stuff in them and we never had any problems in the winter. Years before it got cold, but this year the lowest was about 0 so far.

I dont have an aux tank (but wish i did)...living in virginia i frequently
saw temps in the teens (and only ONCE did i ever add any power service
anti-gel/cetane booster...ive still got 3/4 of a bottle).

runs last winter from connecticut to houston (snowing/towing) and in the
single digits i never had any fuel gel-ing issues.

didnt they stop building the HFCM w/ the heater ? i know mine
has the heater on it (brown plug).

HFCM = (horizontal fuel conditioning module...aka water
separator/filter on the frame rail)

I live about 25 miles north of Pittsburgh, you don't need to add anything. I've never had any problems at all, and it usually is A LOT colder this time of year. Have a safe trip! Merry Christmas everybody!!
