Hi I'm new to this board and I'm having a problem w/ my truck. Its a 03 F350 6.0 all stock. I believe it needs the glow plugs replaced. After it sits overnight or for more than a few hours, it starts up and runs VERY rough like it isn't firing on all eight cylinders until it starts warming up. So I'm wanting to replace the glow plugs but have no idea how. Any help would be great, thanks in advance;tu

first thing... WELCOME!!!!!

second.. fill out your signature when you get a chance (it helps us help you)

third... I would make sure the glow plugs are your problem before you replace them.. sounds like that could possibly be the problem but you still wanna make sure before you replace them... im sure someone will have some better info on your issue

welcome to SDD.com!!!

Welcome to SDD....

how long before it starts to run smooth?
how many miles on your truck?
any mods?
have you serviced the truck?(fuel filters, oil change and filter....etc...)

I was having the same issue on my 06, the dealer looked at it and did a reflash on the PCM for the new inductive heat cycle on the injectors and my problem was solved. You might take it in to the dealer for a check of the system.

It usually takes anywhere from 15-20 minutes when the ambient temp is in the 40-50degree range, and upwards of 35+min if its below 30degrees outside. The truck has 115k miles on the odometer, and is 100% bone stock. I just replaced the air filter, fuel filter, and did an oil change 1500 miles ago. I also had to replace the alternator and both batteries about 6 months ago due to the alt overcharging the batteries.
