I haven't got the GS RV insurance yet.. So far, I've been able to fix things..but I've been thinking about it here lately. I'm kinda Gun Shy about it still. We do have the Roadside Emergency deal though.

Been in the 90's out here, cool nights.. went over to Hollister (southern Bay area).. 80's, Chilly nights.

You guyz have sure been HOT... No relief in sight, it seems.

Just filled up the last of 2 cases of Mason Jars tonight with Figs,
also put some things in the freezer. Got to take the fifth wheel to
shop in the morning, refrigerator has quite working.
We took out a Good Sam ins on the RV a year ago,
so looks like I will get to see if it's any good for repairs.
To dang hot to be camping in the south anyway.

I found a recall on the frig. on my 2000 5ther have them check into it. The dealer here missed it.

We got the Dometic Refer recall in the mail. 30 minute fix. WELL worth the recall.. IAW the pics in the Link above.

Because the city fathers in the affected areas will not allow them to enter the city. Tuscaloosa, Alabama's mayor said not just no, but HELL NO.

I had that fire hazard, recall done to mine 3 or 4 years ago. I called Dometic Refer,
trying to get them to fix it under Warranty, after talking to 3 or 4 of there fine
fine people who talk on the phones I was told I was 3 or 4 weeks out of there
recall Warranty.
That's my luck so we will see if Good Sam will fix it under there Warranty.

From history ? In many cases ? FEMA trailers can often be better housing than what Nature took out.. to some victoms. Many town/cities end up with the "Blight" of a slew of FEMA trailers..

If GS won't do it.. there ain't nothing to it Doug, it's a DIY.. no so sweat.

All it is is a bigger sheet metal shroud that better encloses the gas jet & flu vent area. You get Everything, in a Recall, zip bag kit.

Drill driver w/Phillips bit & 1/4" nut driver.. 15 minutes, done deal. I did mine

Thats crap. My trailer is a 2000 and way out of warrenty and it was done at no cost to me other then fuel. Just go to the repair shop and ask about the recall on the ref. I'll try to post the fix when I get home.
