The lift itself sells for around 1300-1500, and its the only thing (i mean the ONLY thing) available for 05+ 2wds. Plus, my truck is so low to begin with (Ill attach a pic), that a 33" (nitto rates the tire at 33.19"x12.13") tire is pretty much the biggest I can fit without rubbing. All in all, it'll be only slightly taller than an FX4. Fabtech lists the biggest tire as a 315/70-17 with trimming involved, and on a positive offset wheel. I'm not looking for anything extreme here..Ive had lifted tahoes in the past all done up nice and pretty and they just end up being thief magnets (broken into twice this summer, carjacked the year before, etc). We'll see how she looks, if I dont like it I can always swap the tires before I drive off with it.
Back to the cost issue, the lift cost (being high as it is), plus 740 for tires (185x4, best deal I can find on the net and the same price im getting), is $2240 right there. Then install (which they usually charge a base of $1K for), and mount/balance of tires comes up to a little over 3K, so I'm getting somewhat of a discount (or so they say). It doesnt bother me too much, they fit me in on such short notice-I called on Tuesday night to see if they could do it, and they had to overnight the lift here. Anyways, I could be "being had", but the truck place is reliable and trustworthy, plus I like the workers (they're all professional fishermen on the side
)
