I hope you the best Max. My mom had a growth that was removed this past summer. They said is was not cancerous. Good luck.

Max, sorry to hear about your impending surgery. We'll all keep you and Stephen's dad in our prayers. The main thing is to keep a positive attitude (which I know you will). As you noted, God does have a plan for all of us. I might add that it's a good thing that we don't know what the plan is. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in mid-October, had a mastectomy and removal of the lymph nodes in mid-November. Doctor said that the cancer was in the first node, but not any further. We went to the oncologist yesterday and the only treatment he recommended was for her to take tamoxifen for the next 5 years (she is 85). We're very pleased with this, and she has had a positive attitude the entire time.
