Installed gauges and I don't like the lights that are in the gauges. Looking for better and brighter lights. When I have the lights on they are very dim. :cussing: :cussing: I pulled the bulb out of the gauge tonight and went to autozone to see if they had anything that I could put in its place. They just had replacement bulbs nothing that I was looking for.  I have looked on a couple of sites with Gauges and the bulbs that are in my are different then the ones that are on the sites. I am looking for some different colors but mainly brighter. I want the car next to me to be able to see them. My gauges came from HI. Thanks for the help.

Haven't seen those. The thing is that I need to see what the bulb looks like. The bulb in my gauges are not flat on the end. They are round and push and turn into place. Kind of like the bulbs that you would put in your tail or brake lights. Those lights are cool. Wish I had white faced gauges. Just have white lines and numbers.

Can you not find an standard automotive bulb that fits with more wattage? My autometer gauges have little colored caps that go over the bulbs to change the color. I have found with mine that green seems to be the brightest.

I have been looking and all that I have found is the same bulb that is in the gauge. I am afraid that if I change the color now that I won't beable to see the gauges at all at night. At night turn your dimmer all the way down and then turn it back up but only until you can just barley see your insturments. That is what the gauges look like. I am trying to think of things to do besides buy new gauges. I wonder what the holder looks like for LEDs. I wonder if I just buy the LEDs if I can wire them and install them into the back of the gauges. Any comments? Thanks for the help.

I know this might be an old thread but I ran into the same thing with my trucks gauges from autometer, pretty dim....... I put in piaa bulbs and they are as bright as you could possible ant them to be. I have two brand new ones and an extra set of gauges that i could pull one out of for you if they are compatible.

I have a few shots with green LED's and Blue LED's in mine... Both Isspro and Autometer... What brand are they?
