So whats the fix on being able to keep the fuel heater sensor pluged in with out blowing fuses????
I might be too late on this, but "replace the fuel bowl heater"
the element breaks loose and touches the floor of the bowl, creating the short and popping the fuse.
There is a wiki article about replacing it with the older, more robust style used by Navistar on the 444T engine, but I stopped when it said something about chiseling off part of the bowl..
I don't get away with stuff like that.
the replacement thin-element is about $125. from Ford.
