sure you do, your mostly as demented as I am, but

anywho
if you have dish network there is now AN OBAMA channel , but you can block it
i called tech support and the resolution department and any one else that was dumb enough to engage me in a spirited 45 minute or so talk about how i should be compensated a free channel upgrade, for having to endure seeing the OBAMA channel on my channel guide and i didnt ask for it
i even asked how much it costs to have my own channel, the line got silent and they couldnt tell me.
it seems mccain wouldnt be shuttle cocked and pay for a channel so there is no mcain channel at this time,

and ask to have the obama channel removed, its a gas
i told her she could add a channel and she said yep, so i asked if she could remove a channel and she said yes
so I said remove the obama one
trust me it was worth the time on hold as she tried to figure it out

almost makes me wish I had dish network just so I could do it!!! Is Obama in HD? make sure you get an HD channel in return if it is.

we get it with the package at work, but I haven't seen it witht he channel line-up at the house..
FWIW, as soon as I'm able, I'm done with Dish and am going to spend the ten bucks more for DirecTV

Funny you should mention that. I'm think'n the same thing.

Since we've been on the road, if I'm 2-3 days without a Satellite cuz of a stick, bush, limb, tall RV, small tree, tall dog or any kind of weather, other than clear sun or moon.... I've had to call'm. If I'm lucky enough to get an English speaking Tech (if not, I ask for one).. I have to tell them to do the secret signal thingy from the Satellite to RE-authorize my receiver. PIA.

Many, many times.. I'm locked on to the Satellites., but get the: "Your Smart Card is Not Authorized to receive this programing" thingy. But that really means: ANY & ALL programing ! PIA.

I'm get'n so good at the Tech Speak.. The first responders get paranoid and hand me off to several "Levels" of Techs now. AFTER.. I've been able to give them my Grandmothers Maiden Name and Shoe Size of course. PIA.

Talking with other RV neighbors along the way.. I've heard the same thing.. they've switched to other providers. I see their dish pointed AT a tree or the bushes, no problems. PIA.

Okay.. I'm dun Ranting now.



I haven't seen the Obama channel yet.. Maybe my Smart Card isn't authorize for that programing ??

I noticed the Obama channel also. Oh well.

I have had very good experience with them when using with the RV. My receiver sits for months at a time w/o use. SO I have to call them often to get them to "send an update" to it. Users having that knowledge kind of freaks out the lower techs though. I just built a custom dish mount and am in the process of painting it all.

I just found out that I have that stupid channel. Looks like I'll be making a call now that I know I can have it removed. I enjoy giving those people a hard time. Has anyone else noticed that now a lot of the pay per view movies have a limited recording label on them. If you DVR the movie it's suppose to delete it after a while. What BS! I DVR'd a movie last weekend but it hasnt deleted it yet. So the wait continues...Then the call to DISH begins.
