You can get large magnetics that go around your filter to catch more metal shavings than the filter alone if you're really worried about it. There is also a magnet you can put on the bottom of the pan to catch the metal shavings.

Or get some rare earth magnets and just stick'em on. Got 2 on my oil filter, 2 on my oil pan, and 2 on my tranny pan. 2000 miles so far and they're still there!

takes about a good hour to drain w/ fumoto . also too easy to vandalize .

I used one of these Futumo valves on my Dodge diesel for more than 40,000 miles and never had a problem with it. Only time I had anything come close to contacting it was when the truck slid in to a 5 foot snow filled ditch and even then there was no problem.

i swung the fumoto lever to drain at 7 am and it wasn't done draining till lunch..........................
