so wvo is not what is made from an appleseed? i figured since you use old vegitable oil that it might be. the guy i know said that if it cools down it solidifys and basicaly your truck is ****ed.

so with what you guys are saying, i can make an appleseed. go get some oil from a restaurant, make bio, and put it into my stock truck?

will it freeze in chicago winter temps in my tank and lines???

so whats the difference between wvo and bio?

WVO is short for Waste Vegetable Oil,if it is properly filtered through many stages is can be ran in the 7.3L engines but the "Gel" point depends on the oil quality itself,for example hydrogenated oil will gel up sooner than say Peanut or vegatable oil.

BioDiesel essentially is chemically treated WVO and has somewhat a lower gel point over straight WVO,but when we get into the colder winter months most users run a 20%-50% blend of pump Diesel fuel to keep everything liquid.

Bill, are you making your own BD in an appleseed rig? I am in Wylie, and would love to come over and check out your set up... Where are you sourcing your waste oil? I have a 500 gallon tank and plenty of room out here so I would love to get started on this..... I also have an old school bus with a cat diesel and really need to run bio thru this.. but I need to check all the orings and rubber, not sure how the sytem is run.... I am thinking the injectors may have rubber orings and the injection pump, but If I can affordably and practically make my own BD I can send the pump out and have all orings replaced and what not......OK let me know, I appreciate it....
