Fuel pump kill switch?

Can anyone tell me if you put a kill switch on the fuel pump if it would have any adverse effects if the switch is off and you try and crank the engine. Someone told me not to do this cause the fuel system on these 6.0l are really finakey. Has anyone done this for a theft deterant.:dunno

There's another thread on here about that...don't remember where though. But to answer your question, no, it won't hurt anything. No fuel means no run, and no run mean I'll give up eventually.
