Does power come back, then go away again after you run it at higher speeds like a fuel restriction?

Nope. The power loss is only following the first startup each morning. I bought a new fuel pump (lift pump) off of ebay this weekend for $50.00. Hopefully it will arrive before the problem gets worse.

Only after the first startup sounds like the EBPV sticking then. You should hear the change in engine sound from it, like air rushing. Also if you hold RPM at 1200-1500 in park with it closed, the engine will warm up in under 5 minutes...something I've had to do on those mornings the ice keeps forming on the windsheild.

Thanks CARB for removing windsheild de-icer from CA shelves:cold 3

You can just unplug the EBPV wires. IIRC it is a 2 wire weatherpack connector right about under the orange intake hose (or black hose if it's been updated)

If you happen to get down to the south bay give me a call, I'll let you hear my EBPV engage. Mines on a switch. Maybe I can record it later.

No "woosh" sound (EBPV), but the problem did not occur this morning. My chip has a high idle setting (1100 rpms) that I've been using at start up. I'll unplug the EBPV wires in the morning before startup and see what happens. I don't believe it's a filter restriction issue because I start up on my rear tank (these days B50 + Stanadyne) and my engine fuel filter is clean (10 days old).

I unplugged the EBPV connector clip and I do have full power but it's 48*F right now. Morning lows will drop in a few days so that will be the test.

Thanks

Having a spare fuel pump (lift pump) is not a problem....for $50.
