Fuel pressure sending unit.

I just installed my fuel pressure sending unit and all I'm getting for a pressure reading is about 30 psi. I have the S/U installed in the port closer to the passenger side of the fuel bowl. I looked like it was after the filter and I might be able to tell when my fuel filter was plugin' up that way, but it's not working properly for some reason. I have a new fuel filter in it so that's not it and the truck runs fine. Does that port read different than the one close to the drivers side? I figure they should be the same at least with the truck not running but the fuel pressure still does not build up over 30psi.

Does it just not read properly in the other location or what. I figured it wouldn't be too far off, especially when the truck isn't running.

Yeah, I changed the sending unit to the other location and it still reads the same, about 30 lbs. Would the truck even run with that low of fuel pressure or is my sending unit screwed up?

Somebody's gotta know the minimum fuel pressure these trucks will run on. Will it even run off of 30 lbs fuel pressure.

It will run at 30#'s... Might be a plugged fuel filter... Might be a pluged pick up, might be a bad pump...

Brand new filter, pump is about 6 months old, and I just cleaned the pick up and screens when I changed the fuel pump. So I will go from there.
