There's a little test port plug on the engine mounted fuel filter/ regulator housing. It is metric o- ring thread (can't recall what size). Maybe someone has a picture...

I hope you are not running a direct fuel line into the cab, that is a big no no if you ever get a leak, you will at least have a mess. There are isolator fittings available for the job. Or do like alot of guys and get an electric fuel pressure gauge. :sweet

Well since it was on a Dawdge it's useless on your PSD....it will be pegged all the time. The PSD has about 60ish psi at the test port, all the Dodge systems(VE, P-7100, VP44 and HPCR) run low pressure...5-13 depending on the situation.

Now you know why the Powerstroke has so much better power than the cummins :stir

just kidding :D

It is the fuel pressure fed to the injectors. No, the Powerstroke doesn't really have an injection pump,HEUI (Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injection) each injector is its own pump and pressurizes the fuel and injects it. The injectors are powered by the HPOP (high pressure oil pump). Injection pressure is variable, up to 26,100 psi. ;)

In a nut shell.. Yes, to low.

May as well.

A 100 psi guage would work. 70(ish) psi is where a 7.3 likes, or should be. Stock is 50(ish). Shim yer FPR to 70(ish) and yer SD will idle quieter and run better.

Theres a DYI or WIKI on how to do it.

:dunno
