Get some gages to monitor the engine. An EGT and a Boost gage would do for a start. You can add on any others you desire.

I'm sure he means no harm. It appears that many find that adding a programmer or chip to our trucks throws the facrtory computer mileage way off. It is usually off to begin with, and then adda chip/programmer to get the engine to do things beyond the factory setting, it widens the gap between "computer mpg's" and reality.

like i said, only reporting what it said. i am sure that it is off somewhat, because i have checked it the old fashion way and it would a little lower, but not drastically.
