If I ever find an answer, I'll gladly post up. It's been a year, and I am still stumped.

LOL - I have either got to clean out my truck and make it lighter or put a block under the skinny pedal.

Tbar
I dont see anything wrong with a 14.5 avg...... or maybe I need a block under the skinny too.................. :D

Difference in MPG 60 vs 75 mph (non towing)

I had occasion to have to drive to and from Columbia, SC from Augusta, GA (about 173 miles round trip). This is non-towing. 2000 Ford F250 PSD SD SuperCab.

The 1st day (Monday) 74 mph up and 77 mph back for 173 miles took 10.37 gal.

Day 2, I decided to set at 60 for the trip to see what difference it made, I sat at 60 on the trip to Columbia, but we didn't get out until 5:00 pm and wanted to get back, so came back at about 77 or so. 173 miles took 9.49 gal.

Day 3 (today) did the 60 mph to, and we got out around 2:30p so sat at 60 mph coming back. Went to a different station, which had a much slower pumping pump, and the 170 miles took 7.62 gal when it clicked off- wow, I said to myself, self, that can't be right, so I latched it on again and let it add more, it clicked right off again at 7.82 gals.

Wow, driving slower *does* help!

BTW, 1750 rpm = 60 mph, I think 75 mph was over 2300.

Can't wait to see the difference towing!
