Fuel leak

I have a leak happening when the engine is running. Seems to be coming from the fuel pump and running out a tube that goes from the fuel pump to the front of the engine block. I talked with a mechanic and he said to open the yellow valve on the back of the fuel pump, that this line was to drain moisture from the fuel pump. Any ideas why it's leaking and what needs to be done to fix it? Thanks
