Fuel filters

Got to love alabama fuel quality.
I changed the frame and engine filters friday evening.
pretty nasty junk, came out of the frame fuel conditioner, every time i pull that filer I am remined of the question, "Who is the idiot that choose that location for a fuel filter"

lucky me, no water, but lots of sand and little black hard things, felt like tar???
best of all the filters caught it, the engine filter was clean as a whistle.:D :D

Haha yep I'm always thinking, "who the hell thought of this spot?" whenever I change them out

Guess they figured since they made the oil change so easy they had to make the fuel filter and water drain A PAIN IN THE A#$!! -mad Got the new style drain plug waitin' for the next water drain ritual :thumbs

oh you mean the nice brass knurled nut that is supposed to stay in the filter housing??
Mine i got over zealous and it went PLOP into the bucket.
I question the longevity of the plastic cap, wonder iffin anyone makes an alum one???? been thinking about it all day... in between documents

at least i smelled good when i was finished :D
