last night i bought and changed the fuel filters on my truck for the first time since I've owned it. The one on the frame rail is a serious pain in the you know what.

My question is: What and where is a good spot to buy these filters? I paid $52.00 and i feel like i got robbed. Is that a normal price or did i get ripped off?

this might make draining the HFCM (before you remove the filter)
a little easier

FDDTS - HFCM Water Separator Drain Plug Upgrade

heres one sponsor where you can buy the drain plug from -->
HFCM Drain Plug

DO NOT buy the filters from FLEETFILTER.com they are NOT the same
(on the fuel filters theyre missing the water barrier)...the oil filters are
different as is the trans. bypass filter.

Advanced Auto seems to be the place. My last set was bought there for about $33.00 including tax. I wound up with MC filters re-packaged in a Fram box. A little strange but less than half what the dealer wanted.

HEY! IF our $ are on a near level playing field now? Shouldn't those prices be coming down for you Canadians???

Buy em' anywhere but the dealer. Unless it's a International dealer, they run 30ish also.

I found that is is well worth spending the $20 or so on a socket to fit the filter caps . changed the fuel filter on the rail one time b4 i got the socket. now it takes all of 5 min to change both and drain everything way easier. it also saves me money by no longer throwing objects while working on the truck:D
