That oring seal can go bad but just for grins check to make sure you put it back on right side up(the one under the lid). I believe the taper is at the top.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was a bit shocked to see a puddle of fuel underneath my truck a few nights ago. Just had the same problem start on my truck. We saw our first significant cold spell here in the UK this week. The highs here have been around 35* with lows around 24*

Thanks for the answers posted! :)

I replaced my orings yesterday, as it started pouring out the drain in the morning. It still drips a little, and I don't think I can get it any tighter. I made sure everything was clean and dirt free and I tightened the screws in a criss-cross pattern to make sure that it went down evenly. Any ideas?

Bartman, did you try lubing those o-rings when you put it back together? Maybe one of them went in crooked causing the leak, or you torqed it silly. Anyway, just a thought.

Yeah, I rubbed a little diesel on them. It's not an easy spot to work, but I may pull the thing off again and put it back on. I have had great luck sealing stuff up without changing anything. I love doing things twice because I get real good at stuff, lol.
