Yes the transmission dust cover but the fuel is building up in the valley and when i shut it off after a trip it will drip steady from that hole for a good 45 min to hour and make a spot bout 3 foot by 3 foot.there is a bunch of grass and stuff right below the fuel bowl that is drenched with fuel but i climb up under the hood and look while its running and after i turn it off and i just cant see any dripps or leaks. Its got me, but im almost certain that the drain valve is ok because its leaking in a completely different place and a bunch of it.
Thanks for your help guys i may just have to bow to the professionals on this one.Dont really like the smell of raw diesel fuel on my hands anyway(LOL)

If I understand you correctly you have grass and debis in the engine compartment below the fuel bowl..................sounds like you have a rodent that has set up residency.

This may be a related or unrelated problem..........either way it needs to be addressed asap!!!

He may have chewed a hole in the rubber connecting tube that goes beween the drain valve and the metal drain tube allowing fuel that is getting by the orings to drip into the valley instead of down the tube and onto the ground.

Hard to say without seeing it.
