Where can I get a new fuel drain screw? The drain under drivers side door. It is starting to strip.

tite screw

I tried to instal this new plug yesterday. I was in a hurry, diesel running down my arm, etc. the fit seemed to be very tight. I could not hand tighten to stop the diesel drip. I am going on long trip soon and did not want any stripped items.

anyone else replaced the plug with this one yet and noticed too hard to just hand tighten for leak free plug?

nope
double check the O-ring and make sure the old one is not still stuck in the groove.
the new one shoule trheah in very smooth the first few threads are halfs and can get cocked easily, then the big threads will grab and finger tight is all you need to stop teh drips.

let us know

Thanks powerboatr - I did not notice if old O-ring came with the original plug. Was more problem getting the 'spear' pointed end in also than I thought should be. May be the stuck O-ring. Will check next time I drain fuel.
