Hey - Powerstrokeshop.com has the whole front end kit ( both hubs, seals and ball joints ) for just over $700 I think it was. They are not 'FORD" hubs but aftermarket. I don't know the warranty on them though. Advance Auto sells them also for around $350 each and a no questions asked 1 year warranty.

Yeah, $753. I thought I checked and it was $700 just for the bearings. Oh well, I did not want to wait for them anyway. Also the balljoints still seem to be good. Hopefully they will hold out for awhile. If I would have had some kind of warning I would have ordered the powerstrokeshop parts.

Anyway, got it all back together today. I wasted the whole weekend on it. Next time I can probably get it done in 4 hours. I spent a lot of time cleaning a painting the axle shafts and brake shields. I also replaced the brake hoses because they were getting old and I dropped a caliper.

I think the seal design sucks worse than the bearing. The lip is flared in on the inside making is almost impossible to put on. I started to pound it on myself but was only doing damage. Took it down to the dealer and the service writer took me out to the mechanic and asked it he could do it. He said yes so he asked "What are you drinking?" He said "Coronas" so the service writer says "Go get him a 12 pack of Coronas." I came back with a 24-pack and they were done.
