97 ford f-250 My front tires are whereing down on the outside edge. I just had the truck alined. But it still looks like the wheels are off center when its parked and the wheels are turned left or right. I have not drove it alot to see if the tires still where but wonder if anyone else has seen this on there truck thanks........
If your bushings are worn out it will wear the insides, not the outsides. Take it back to the shop, bet they have the camber a little to positive. As for the steering wheel uncentered, no big deal, just turn each tie rod adjuster the same amount a little at a time to center it, steering wheel center has zilch to do with tire wear.
No doubt the d60 is a better axle, but I can't justify 1000 bucks and up just for looks basically, I don't 4 wheel, so I don't have to worry a bit about breaking axles or anything. The jeep crowd has drove the d60 to insane prices, they just can be justified to me, if I spent a grand on prep work and paint diy of course, I would have one hell of a nicer looking truck in the drive. The d50 isn't desirable, but if its taken care of and your alignment guy knows what hes doing with a ttb or twin beam they can be lined up just fine. Aside from bushings and ball joints they really don't have other things that commonly go bad.
