Some days it just doesn’t pay to get out of bed –
Had a doctor’s appt. for an echocardiogram and an electrocardiogram. Forget to reset the alarm for a later time so I hit the snooze button. Snoozed really well – late for appt. Had not been to the doctor’s second office before – could not find the address on the card. Called office – they moved – now even later.
Get there and because I’m late – they took the people before me. Wait for an hour.
Leave doctors office and hit the interstate. Doing about 70/75 and hear loud double bang. Everything seems okay – motor still running with no lack of power. Wiggle the wheel – all systems seem okay. Drive for another 7 miles, take ramp, hit three lights green – fourth light have to stop . . . right rear sinks down. Flat tire.
Can’t get rim off of truck. Don’t want to beat and bang on a King Ranch rim. 30 minutes later I finally get it loose. Notice two things – one is a big ole dent in my Silverline exhaust tip. Two – spare tire is marked as a temp tire. Who had this bright idea for an F350.
Get home and back up truck in the driveway. Notice water is pouring out of the water meter cover. Call Water Company – waiting for them to show up.
Boss calls – main office computer will not come on – wants to know where the “little” wires go on the motherboard.
Daughter calls – needs $450 for books for this semester (college). Also needs contact re-fill - $200.
