Forum Sites (Including SDD) Banned At Work

My company has banned all sites with "forum" in the IP address, so I won't get to post at work any longer. I also checked the home page, and it's banned too. Have any of you had this to happen at your job? I'm not that upset, but it's nice to be able to take a break to see what's going on in the world of SDD every now and then.

That's so true. It's been awhile, but I remember "the other site" being banned, as was this one, then it was okay, now it's not. Guess it depends on who's the "security watchdog". I know of one radio station that's also blocked, while other radio stations are okay. That's weird. Also, if you're on a site and click on a video, some of them are blocked and some are not.

glads its not just me, we go through this at least once a week
I work in a .MIL and .GOV organization
the brainiacs even blocked those site two weeks ago
i learned that if you get the IP numbers vice the words you can backdooor into here

Yup...........that is why I am on dial up here at work. Got a dedicated fax line in my office that doubles as my internet access. They haven't figured it out yet.

WHEN I worked ... at a .mil/.gov, I told the Watch Dog/Big Brother folks that I used this Site as a resorce for "Diesel related Equipment Maintenence & Parts Availability". (we did'nt have any PSD's, but what the hey)

I just Deleted all Cookies and History... once/twice a week.

Worked for me .
