Can someone please tell me where I can purchase the Ford Code "X" springs? I have searched the internet and can't find a place that sells them.

Powerstrokeshop.com - PSD and Ford Superduty Parts and Bob Utter Ford Parts - Genuine Ford Parts and Accessories would be places I'd check out.

I believe the heavy X codes were either standard or optional on F450-550 rigs, you'd have to give those guys a call to be 100% sure:sweet

Tell us some about the year, model and drivetrain of your truck.

Bill, you are right in that the X code springs are standard on the 450/550 trucks. They are 6000# rated, and will lift the front of 250/350 trucks 1 1/2 " to 1 3/4". If you are going to replace the springs also get new U-bolts, and nuts. Keith

Found them at my local dealership(Pensacola) for $167.00 per spring plus the bolts and other stuff. Not much different in price than a level kit...my only concern is how much will the ride be affected by these springs???

The X codes ride very firm maybe a little too much for my taste, the X codes are primarily installed from the factory for snowplow/Heavy Truck applications so if that gives an idea of their capacity;)

I installed them on my truck because of the bumper, and winch I have on it. The bumper, and winch dropped the front 1 1/2", and weighs around 500#. With the X code springs the front in 1/4" higher than stock. Keith

Here are the part #'s and prices I got 3 years ago.

(2) 2C3Z-5310-AF Springs -- $154.32 ea

(4) F81Z-5705-ZA U-Bolts -- $15.88 ea

(8) N805480-S426 Nut -- $1.86 ea

FWIW, I really think my truck rides better than it did with the V-codes. It raised my front up 1-3/4".
