Ford Reman Alternator

A few months ago, my alternator on my 7.3 F350 went south. I purchased a remain from the Ford dealer so far so good. I'm hoping the Ford remain was a good choice. I didn't have the time to find a rebuild shop that day.

They should be good. I had one a few years back and never had a problem with it.

I was hoping to hear some good news with this. Were they upgraded or improved from the factory installed alternator?

I am not sure what you are asking? They are rebuilt factory alternators. Ford sends them out to a rebuilder that Ford has selected. No upgrades here.

I read somewhere a while back, there were issues with many PSD owners alternators going south. In the same reading topic I thought I read there were improvements to the remain alternators. In saying this, I'm hoping this is true. In fact, I have read where many purshase an aftermarket alternator from DB Electrical.
