Did you know that a Ford air cleaner is used in a M1 Abrams Tank.
I just wanted to share that with ya' OH! The Ford part number is FA-1759.

In fact, the 7.3L AIS Severe Duty Kit has the same filter media technology used in the M1 Abrams tank. This is the ONLY Ford Authorized Severe Duty Air Filter System. The all new AIS Severe Duty Kit has more than 16 x the media surface area compared to a washable air filters, and more than 3 x the media surface area compared to conventional air filters, enabling you to go longer between filter changes. The replacement filter is available through local Ford dealers and through Motorcraft parts dealers.

Isn't filter media technology different than the actual filter itself? I doubt the Ford filter is the same dimensions as the one in the M1 even though the filter material is made with the same technology.

I like the idea of a cabin air filter. Might be on my truck soon. I usually turn off the air when driving in dusty conditions, so having air anytime would be nice. Are cabin filters effective at filtering out exhaust fumes for those times your stuck in traffic and your air blows the exhaust from that car in front of you right in your face?
