i'm in need of a bigger floor jack to lift my f250. I've got this 2ton alum. craftsmen that i love, but to no surprise, it will not budge the truck. what are yall using?

i've got 4 12 ton jack stands, so i'm good there.

whoa really...i use a 2.5 ton & a 3.5 ton...both work fine...'course i never
trust a jack...specially w/ this heavy beast...

you sure the jack hasnt leaked or gotten air in it ? refill it and try pumping
it up several times to bleed the air off.

With limited space in my garage, I have found that a wide base 12 ton bottle jack works perfectly along with jackstands, especially on the front of a 4x4. :sweet

yea it's full of fluid... when lifting one side at a time, it will lift the front tire about 1/4" from the ground and then it will not lift anymore...not bc it is out of reach/extension.

Heres the ones i have Craftsman 4000lb Aluminum

and this one i actually
have the 3.5ton version which has a smaller 2nd handle (that allows
you to position the jack before giving the handle a big pump).

BOTH jacks lift my truck w/out issue

that's the one i've got...will that one lift the whole front end of your truck at once or just a corner at a time?

i life the entire front w/ it...i dont leave it up there though...i get it
up in the air enough to stuff some good jack stands under it and
then move on to the rear (if i need to).

The alum. 4k jack isnt my favorite to use when working on my truck
the other one (see link in the post above) is primarily my "truck" jack,
but either one works just fine at lifting my truck (front or rear)

well i guess i'm gonna play with it and see if it'll take some more fluid tomorrow...

if that one will get it an inch off the ground, that's good enough for me...just as long as i can get my jack stands under there...

I have a 2 1/2 ton I bought from walmart 10 years ago and it lifts mine no problem. Yours might have an internal leak just jack it up and put some weight on it and leave it over night if it goes down it is time for a rebuild.
