Good question.

I'm not so sure there would be, or IS a [specified] RPM, but it would surly halfta be 1-200 RPM..... enough to get HPOP pressures up, at a minimum ?

Joe

It was cranking at 100rpm with the old junk starter on it.
Had the same slow rump-rump-rump start it had when i got it.
I can't believe it's been failing for 4 years and 80,000 miles before it finally bit the big One.

i would guess a minimum of 150, ideal of 200. thats just a guess though.

I agree. I watched my tach this AM, on a 34* cold start, needle bounces a bit but it looked like 200, or so RPM.... 3-4 revs'n he lit off.

Lota variables here though JLD, wouldn't ya think ?.. temps, batts and so on. :dunno

oil viscosity...
dunno.
all I can tell ya is I don't have to plug it in anymore to get it to run at 0 or below-0 temps/
