OK... so we've got about a foot & a half of snow since Sunday...

I'm pulling in the baryard tonight, and the truck gets stuck in front of the hay barn..

So I rock and I rock, and I rock... and at one point, the truck stalls.

I hit the key, and am rewarded with a "CLICK! CLICK!" out of the starter...

I go in the house, and put on my Refrigerwear, and back outside and dig the truck out.

Youngest daughter comes out to help, I have her climb in the truck while I rap on the starter with a hammer..

FIRE comes spitting out of the back of the starter!

You know, some things are just cool no matter whose truck it is... :sweet

I had the same problem and if your starter is like mine on the back where the fire came out will be 2 small bolts mine were loose so I tightened them up and its been fine ever since

the best part is...
I have to get the truck running tonight, so I can get a new snowblower tomorrow night. See, the engine on the snowblower siezed up while I was digging out the truck (but that's another story in itself)

Oh yeah.. the temp outside right now?

Good question.

I'm not so sure there would be, or IS a [specified] RPM, but it would surly halfta be 1-200 RPM..... enough to get HPOP pressures up, at a minimum ?
