Gas Milage

I recently pulled a 32' toy hauler from Chicago to Crandon, WI with a 2000 F350SD SRW 179k on the truck and driving 60mph, overdrive off, and got 9mpg. I usually get 15 to 15.5mpg in the city and 17.5 on the highway and I usually drive about 70mph.
Have a good day.
Harold

I'd like to know the mileage numbers of someone pulling a heavy fifth wheel camper if you run across them.

Thanks,

Jimmy

Is 19.5mpg from the dash or by doing the math?

I have a friend who just spent $2300.00 on a new chip and exhaust on his Ford F350 Dually and the LED readout says he is getting 28mpg -- while showing all of his friends how he can light up the rear tires on take off. The truck is incredibilly fast; however, I don't believe the LED readout of 28mpg and have asked him to do the math on his own. I give him 2-3 months before something breaks -- way too much power IMHO.

Congrats on the sweet truck! Im hopin the 6.7 is the new 7.3! i've heard good things on that 6.7. I've looked into the airbag systems. They ride so much better than normal suspension lifts and you can raise and lower it at will which is awesome. Kelderman makes some good systems but really expensive. But yer gonna pay a lot for a good bag system. I'd like to put a 4 to 6" lift on mine someday. I dont think a level kit will be enough for me. Keep the pics comin, i love the looks of the new superduties!

You will only gain ride height if you bump the pressure up. I had the Firestone bags on my 2000 and will install them on the '11. You will only gain ride height if you air them up above what is needed to level the load. Doing this will cost you in a stiffer ride.
