Last night I scored an old water heater and a 150 GAL tank. The tank was used for fuel oil so cleaning it shouldn't be much of an effort, considering the dilution factor. I have yet to decide to use it for finished bio or for initial storage of unprocessed.

REally glad to see the interest in this !! :D

Yes, that episode did show that you can make bio diesel from WVO but, it did ot mention that the processor they used has started fires. The tanks are made of plastic and melt. Also, for $4300 (they advertise $3000 but there are required accessories) I could build 9 processors with money left over.

I haven't looked into the bio-diesel part, maybe I should do both WVO and Bio? I guess one at a time.

I must get a new house, for more hotrods and a biodiesel factory, just tell the wife its so we can have a bigger family :sweet

bio diesel fuel filters

A buddy of mine at work is going to run bio diesel, he is wanting to change the fuel filter system, what are you guys doing? stck or aftermarket?

Is he home brewing or buying it? Either way, the stock system is fine for bio diesel. If he were to run Waste Vegetable Oil he would want a different filter system.
