Question Finally got a new tow vehicle 2004 Excursion 6.0L

I want to do the coolant filter thing. I see Dieselsite&Amsoil, sell kits,do Ford or
International Harvester or anybody else sell kits? Thanks for any info you can give.

I am sure there are others. I got the Dieselsite kit and it is wonderful. I don't know anything about the Amsoil kit, but I would bet it is big $$$. Ford does not sell a coolant filter kit. You might try googling "Diesel coolant filter kit".

I believe most of the diesel sites will have it. Its a very common mod to the 6.0's. Congrats on yer new suburban killer!

I went to the junkyard and pulled an after market oil/transmission filter mount, cleaned it and purchased a coolant filter, hoses, and fitting at the local auto parts = cost less then $50.00.
