ficm swap

Can I swap a ficm from a 06 into an 05? The one on my 05 is junk. I have one in a roll over 06, do you have to reflash when you switch them? I talked to several dealers and have gotten conflicting info. Can some one please help? I don't want to dive a Pontiac another day if I don't have to

take the one out of the 06... send it to Bill at powerhungryperformance and have him reflash it for the 05.. or take the 05 one out and do the same. I don't know if you can just switch them or not but while the truck is down and out you might as well get it reflashed for 125 bucks from the best..

yes you can use the ficm from the 06 in your 05. but before it will work you will need to have it reflashed at the dealer. 05-07 ficm's are identical the only difference is calibrations
