FICM problems

FICM is putting out the 48 volts with key on but only 35 while running, was a hard start all winter and still is, I hear that there is a rebuild shop for these or am I wrong for thinking its bad?

Repairing is a much better choice. http://www.ficmrepair.com/ is one place and there are others.

Thanks, I just called them and discussed my options, looks like a rebuild with a two year warranty for $325, or upgrade to lifetime and better parts for $425, I got 9 years from this one and he says they use better parts so I may go with the cheaper one

I did not learn about these guys until after I got mine from Ford for like $800.

I priced ford also, $575 for a half shell. These people are about 4 hours away or so and he said they can send a unit out to you to put in and then you can mail in your core later,

After reading another thread on this now I'm not sure which place to send it to, anyone sent theirs out with some feedback? Seen the one in Texas and another that charge a lot less

I used FICM Fixer (here is my thread - http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?28990-FICM-Repair&highlight=FICM+Repair). It has been working well for the last couple of years since it was fixed. It took about a week from the time I sent it out and it came back. I would recommend them, and they are much less that FICM Repair.

I wonder why the large price difference, it's a couple hundred bucks. I had read your thread and visited that website, may call them tomorrow to see why they are so much cheaper
