Feels like a 4-barrel carb truck

I need a little help the truck feels like it's a 4-barrel from 45-60 mph. If I stomp on the go pedal it takes a couple of seconds and then it screams. It did it the other day with an empty trailer behind it, but didn't do it with 8500 lbs back there. Then all of a sudden it starts on the way to work today. I did get fuel at the same station last wed. and friday, with a couple of fill-ups in between. I put some cetane booster in this evening hopefully it is bad fuel.

Do you have a boost gauge? Im just wondering if the boost is low when you feel the lag.

Air filter perhaps?

Fuel filter has about 10k on it air filter is clean. Boost gauge reads about 5psi until I mash the throttle and then will climb fine. No strange noises or any smoke other than the black cloud from stomping the throttle.

is it not downshifting fast enough? or is the engine not applying power quick enough?

Engine isn't applying the power.

check the MAP sensor tube to make sure that it is not restricted or leaking at the map sensor.
