My 1996 had the 195* thermo it would run around between the "N O" on normal, installed the Diselsite 203* it now always runs between the "R M" It seams to run better at the high temp too...

JOAT Didn't you have your fan only able to come on at slower speeds thru the sensor in the rear diff? I read that somewhere thought it was you, if it is how was that wired???

Yeah, but it involves assembling a circuit, not an off-the-shelf thing. Could possibly be made simpler but thats beyond the amount of time & patience I had for its design.

The LM2409 is a cheap IC that converts a frequency to a voltage. the rest of the circuit allows you to set your own activation and deactivation speeds, as well as an adjustable deactivation delay (handy but also needed to prevent relay chattering when cruising near the set speed).

Not shown, are fuses. There should be a very small value fuse un the connection to the VSS wire.

BTW I'm no electronics wizard. Took me months to learn enough to hack this together:confused:

A couple of venders were advertising fan kits on Ebay and elsewhere, but overpriced. If memory serves they were asking in excess of $500 for something you can put together yourself under 1/4 of that.
